SouthOrd Discount

Postby Shifty » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:56 pm

I just received my pick set today from SouthOrd and was pleasantly surprised when i happened to look at the bill. They were kind of to credit me a 15% discount due to military status! Just a heads up for everyone else out there. If you order your picks from SouthOrd to a military address (Or maybe you can make that distinction over the phone as well for off post housing) they will automatically adjust the price. Thanks SouhtOrd!

Also, in case any are wondering about the discounted picks in the "clearance" section, i have these pictures to show exactly what they mean by "blemished".

Notice the dots at either end of the handle? They look to be simple burn marks. They have no effect, other than looks though.

The complete 14 piece set from the "Clearance" section. The description read as "blemished".
*Also, as a note, one of the tension wrenches is torqued so that you aren't pressing against a thin piece of metal, but instead the flat width ofthe wrench. (The one on the right)

I believe the (Dots) shown in picture are spot-weld marks that were not erased during the finishing process.
Those will not effect performance.

Good to hear that the discount picks are in good working condition. Was unsure as to whether I should buy from the discount section or not.

Southord seems to be really good all around. Good quality basic picks. Many other people make picks that are just too springy for me. Most of their picks are nice and stiff.
