Does this actually exist??

Postby Loki13outlaw » Wed Jun 27, 2012 11:44 am

I saw this lock picking device on an animated series years ago and my sister swears shes seen real ones for sale..
It looked like a blank key that when inserted in a lock would mimic the inside of the lock and take the shape of the key needed to open it, then there was some release you could press on the key to make it look like a blank key again so it could be used on another lock...
Sorry if its hard to understand, but does one actually exist?
And it isn't a bump key, that's what everyone has thought I meant when I ask this question elsewhere lol

The same people that make those also make that goop that you can squirt into a cylinder and when it's dry it's the shape of the key that fits the lock. They also make master keys that fit every car and one that fits every padlock. They used to sell brass magnets too, but they have been out of stock for a while now.

I don't remember the technical term for them but you could ask any real locksmith that you come across. They all have this stuff. I think they buy it as part of their master locksmith kit.

If they act like they don't know what you're talking about, they are not a real master or they are just acting like they don't know because they don't want to let their secrets out.

The only thing that is remotely close to what you're talking about is the Sputnik tool.

http://www.qtactical.com/sputnik-pick-a ... 3-preview/

But it doesnt fill the keyhole to the shape of the keyhole, it adjusts the piano wire to push up on the pins in order to pick the lock. In essence it takes on the shape of the key cuts, maybe that's what you were trying to say, not the key's cross section.

I doubt your sister has seen this for sale unless she works at the CIA Gift Shop at Langley.

one of the most informative ive seen as well, i cant wait until i find out if my locksmith buddy is a master. I sure hope he's not going to try and act like hes not cause im sure he is. Will report back on this, unless he absolutely swears me to secrecy.

The  special goo is called Tactical Goo available most places that use the term "Tactical" in every item description. Do a search for tactical bird feeders , tactical flower pots, or tactical lawn furniture .
To confuse the general public it is often disguised as hummingbird nectar.. the red works very well, but the clear variety is the most effective   You can purchase in liquid or powder form.
Pm me for a free interior design consultation. Bay Area preferred but willing to travel.

You better go find a nice rock to hide under. The ALOA ( you know... "Those guys") is going to hunt you down for giving away trade secrets like that.

my guy...

Postby atticRR » Sun Jul 08, 2012 9:00 am

my guy was pretty cagey, wouldnt say much. He did mutter something about 'humming bird saliva' or something like that as i led him from the bar after getting him blitzed. Other than that, nothing. I was actually using a tactical voice stress analyzer (basically a lie detector) and although he would admit nothing, all his denials indicated very high stress levels indicating a probable lie. Will keep on this because i want to know more.

You guys can have all the tactical goo. I'm waiting for 2octops to tell us where to score some brass magnets.

the new handshake is just a normal looking handshake with the middle finger folded inside so you can scratch the finger tip in the guys palm. Keep it secret.....
