the key of the pragmatic gate lock looks like to a simple piece of metal. does anyone know how this lock works ? it seems to be like a Abloy.

Don't quote me on this, but I think it's the same as the Norman lock. If so, this lock works with rotating discs via the "chain of balls" concept. My book has some rough details, but unfortunately I've never been able to obtain one of these as they are quite rare.
