Abloy 100 years pdf

Postby Wizer » Fri Apr 29, 2011 8:28 pm

I found this pamphlett and thought some of you might be interested:
http://www.abloy.fi/Abloy/FI/general/Ab ... alehti.pdf

Half of it is in Finnish, half in English. Lots of history and some nice-to-know details.

I was searching the net because I found a book from Finnish industries fair in 1955 and it had an advertisement of AVA lock.

This was before AVA was bought by Abloy. It was originally made by Ansala Oy.
The text says basically the same things as todays lock companies would.
-New Finnish quality product
-Unpickable (Yeah, )
-Suitable for mastersystems
-Weather proof, works well in freezing temperatures
... and more

I still have not found the patent for AVA-lock. I´ll keep searching...
