Bottom line is that it's reasonably easy to distinguish the enthusiasts from the wannabe-big-time-lock-picking-master-thieves.

I mean, I'm still here, right? :P

 heres a new one
give the new system a chance to see how it works and then poll the members on the site to ask what they think ???? :D
the bit about the list of applicants being posted is that going to be on the advanced section. if so can current members pm mods as to recomendations for or against the new member/s?

advanced forum access is not a right. Nor is the advanced area some secret club, its just an area that more sensitive information is discussed, no more and no less.

Many in the past have had up to 1000 posts and been denied access, posts dont guarantee entry, ie posts of lol , and smileys will not be counted, when a mod reviews a members posts, they look for attitudes, helpfullness, contribution and post content, all decisions are based upon this alone.

to ask mods to email everyone declined, is not workable, as to email 50 times then deal with the 250 follow up emails a month would be a full time job for someone.

The system works and is as fair as it can be, congrats to DB for easing the plight and producing a system that works.

Now you see? You see? You see why I just made the announcement and locked the thread?

Sheeeeeeesh!

Ok, I think it's gone far enough now. ;)

Let's say we call it a day on this and just see how things work out.

Cheers!
