I'm very new to this as well. I also live in Olympia, and it's not easy for me to get to Seattle. I'm great with padlocks, but I can't pick a deadbolt to save my life. even the $10 ones that just have 5 standard pins. On the rare occasion that it does pick, I have no idea why. I think I'm in desperate need of person-to-person help.
Don't think Top Gear has taught you more about racing your civic than I learned by going to racing school.

Hi!
We're on Vashon, both me and my daughter (17 years old) would be interested if this ever came to pass.

Hi, winters starting to roll in... Would anyone be interested in a get together to start sharing some techniques and information on locksport. I'm new to lock picking but have got the bug pretty bad and would like to meet some other like minded individuals in the Seattle area.

I would be very interested in this if someone were to set something up in the Lakewood/Lacey area. My work schedule gets busy with a lot of travel or I would take charge and try and get something set up through TOOOL ( http://toool.us/) or something. If there is someone out there who can take the lead on this I would be interested.

Perhaps we could find a spot between Seattle and Lacey? I would be willing to travel once a month or so. Let's see if we can get some other takers to chime in.

I am not to familier with the area, but that sounds like a good plan. Hopefully we could get 1 or 2 others that are interested.

That's great! Sounds like there are three of us willing to get together. I guess we can try to pin down a time and a place. We may get some others to join us if we the first meet-up off the ground. Let me know where we should think about meeting?

The main lobby in my apartment complex is available on the weekend, I live at the corner of 85th and greenwood. but i do not have any locks for us to practice with, just some personal tools.

I'm down in Tacoma, but I'd certainly be willing to meet up sometime - I'm new to locksport and would certainly benefit from some in-person learning.

I'm kind of in the area, sort of. Past the capital, but live relatively close to you and I worked there (SeaTac) for an unethical local airlines for nearly 20 years until.....the current economy. But if ya'll start a group of pickers, give me a hollar. -

I'd be interested in getting in on the action. I have a well lit 2 car garage, and plenty of off street parking in North Everett. Just need to get some folding tables and chairs from somewhere. (I can check Craigslist for that kinda stuff.) Who's this far north, or willing to come up? I'm just getting into this, so I don't have much in the way of locks. I've got some padlocks... somehwere around here, and the locks that were on the house when I moved in. (5-pin Schlages (SC1) and Defiants with KW1's.
