Well, I'm from Western Massachusetts, I'd like to see a group start up somewhere in the northeast. I do have a good number of locks and picks, I would also be more than willing to share my knowledge, albeit limited, and would also like to learn some tips from others. The main problem is I am quite lazy, and not much of an organizer, if someone would take up the lead I'd love to join, if other people are as lazy as I am, perhaps more informal meeting to share ideas would be a good place to start. In any case if you are in the region, let me know.

I'd like to attend a meeting with you cracksman just so I could actually lay my hands on a bona fide set of falle-safes. :P Is Manitoba part of the continental US yet? I haven't read the newspaper this week. I could have missed something.

If I ever hit the lottery d_b, everyone that has helped me would get a set :D They really are quite remarkable, they even tarnish from use, almost building up their character, I cleaned my most used once, it was like I lost an old friend  Now I let them get nice and black, only the tips stay shiny :D

1. Yes, its in Canada
2. The first result in google says: Province of Manitoba. Click on the link and it says Canada, or even easier, look at the url, the .ca is a hint of its location.

No, I meant google earth as in the program that shows you satelitte maps that you can zoom in on. It's quite fun to play around with http://earth.google.com/

I beg to differ. :) Google knows all about Manitoba, Winnipeg, and even more. In fact, I just pulled up a satellite image of my office. Give it a go. Go to http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=37.33230 ... &t=k&hl=en and type in 221 Higgins Avenue, Winnipeg.

Speaking of Satellite Imaging... I found this quite funny.

I hope everyone up in Mass. is at least keeping the club idea bubbling in the back of their minds. I'm currently planning to move to Boston within the next two months, and would love to meet some other folks in the area who've been picking for a while.

Once I get at least a little settled in, I might just push to start a local myself. I'm a bit of a junior at the mechanics of this stuff, but I do expect to have some time to organize meetings, at least.

Everybody Northeastward keep in touch here, so we know who's in when we can make a gathering happen.

I was born and raised in the Boston Area until I was 17 and joined the Military. My Parents still live about 30 mins from Boston. I will be in Mass this New Years until the second week of January. I live in Virginia now becuse of my current assignment.

Personally, I won't be there yet until the beginning or end of February. Though I'm sure you'll be back again sometime later when we have a group up and running. Keep in touch.

Y'know, there's this little MIT place here in Boston...

While you can't as non-students go exploring, drop me a line if you ever want to swing by.

I currently have a Falle pin lock decoder, variable key system, and foil impressioning system kicking around, but those are going back to their owner in the next day or two.
