Your choice of van is dependant on what area you are in as well, as what work you will be doing. In london the bigger the van the longer its gonna take youto get to the job, but the smaller you go the less you can carry. Its a trade off thats down to your personal choice
I am pushed for space at home (too many baby toys
)so my van is also going to be my workshop. So i need the bigest small van i can get, so ive opted for a swb transit, which cant be beten on load space for its size.
Its worth looking at a new van, you get warrenties, breakdown cover etc. Also leasing is a good option, you get a new van, and only have to make monthly payments, and its yours at the end but you pay the list price since no interest is added over the course of the lease
The best value van on the market (in my opinion) at the moment is the Transit Hallmark, you get a transit with all the extras, for the price of the bog standerd model, cant be bad !
But it is worth spending a little more for the larger powerplant and higher performance gearing
