correct tension

this morning i got a call for a lockout, an ornanmental security gate with a deadbolt and knobset. the knobset was mounted over the deadbolt. reaching for my favorite tension tool, a peterson pry-bar, i put it in tok (top of keyway). the knobset kept me from placing it securely. I tried bok (bottom, well you know) and i couldn't get any pins to set. i then tried a shorty allen key i had ground down to fit the top of a schlage keyway. thing fit perfectly under the knob. as soon as i felt that first pin set i knew i had it. it pays to try different tension techniques when picking!
