I can't get rid of my lucky case.... I'll never be able to pick a lock again.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

heres a picture of my two hooks from lockpicknewbie21 - they are the nicer looking black and blue picks on top. On the bottom in pure black are my shameless attempts to copy his short hook.

love your work newbie. You've given me a lot of good ideas.

Thanks for the great ideas Newbie and Nataz. Always nice to see and converse on pick making...I made my first pickset about a month ago and they were rather disasterous. I was able to pick some locks (that is until it broke...I filed down too low and I think I made the metal brittle because I forgot to quench often). I wasn't aware of this site at that time, but now I do and plan on using all the excellent resources for my 2nd attempt! :)

Someone get rid of the spammer...I reported the post so it will hopefully be removed soon.
If lockpicks are outlawed, then only outlaws would have them!
