Sorry, this is going to sound really dumb but...

How do you buy things on the HPC website? In the link given there's no price nor a way to buy it from there, and I don't see where to place orders...

Sorry for fail.

I don think you can.
They only deal with resellers, so you should turn to one of those.

from the site:
All HPC products must be purchased through an Authorized HPC Distributor.
All HPC locksmithing products may only be purchased by locksmiths.
HPC does not sell directly to locksmiths.
Please see the HPC Reps & Distributors List for a distributor in your area.

I just got interested in lockpicking, and was wondering whether i needed to buy a slimline set, or if i can just use a regular one. I live in Canada, which is why im not sure.
im on a tight budget, so the two sets i was looking at were these:

http://www.lockpickshop.com/PXS-14.html
i heard this wasn't bad, except it had no grips, but now it comes with some

http://www.lockpickshop.com/C801.html
i heard this was also good for beginners, but not sure if i need slimline, because the other one comes with more picks, and the long hook looks better

they are about the same price

New to this...

Postby ddc » Mon Oct 19, 2009 2:52 am

Hello All

noob as I am, I lurked here for a while and finally ordered the 6$ set from DX. hope it arrives soon before I get my way with the street cleaner parked near my house.

just a quick question - does anyone know what southord mean when they say "slightly blemished" on their outlet section in their site? the price for the MPXS-20 is tempting.

thanks!

It could be anything from light scratches to small dents or any other imperfections caused from the stamping process. These usually don't get put on the same line as the other blemish free products. The tools are still in overall good shape and still function in the same way.

In other words, they're not something they would want to advertise with, but will still sell at a lower cost in order not to take a complete loss.

I bought a 14 piece set from southords slightly blemished stock there was water marks on the leather case and they sent me a free copy of easy pickings so i guess i would buy from there again, and they ship to Australia. And yea you dnt need to buy heaps of different picks just a few a find what you like.

wow, $6 for a pick set, how can you go wrong with that,
unless the picks are extremely brittle or something.
