Where did you get your training?

Postby Louis_Traum » Fri Nov 11, 2011 4:42 am

I have a friend who works for Pop-A-Lock and he said they have a location that trains people in lock-picking. Where did you get your training, and if you were trained by Pop-A-Lock, what do you have to say about it? Do you have any books or websites to recommend to an amateur (me)?

fyi
I'm an amateur locksmith. I really only know what my friend teaches me and I don't even have a lock-pick set yet.

3 year apprenticeship then 24 years of on the job training, a few specialized classes and seminars. Lockmasters for safe manipulation and drilling.

I took the Foley Belsaw course. It was a good intro to the basics but not much more than that. Nothing beats hands on training :D
