Anybody date/value this

I recently picked this up at a gun show. It came with a footlocker that belonged to a WW2 Col. I am wondering if anyone can validate that the lock and key is original. The serial number is 1060 on both the lock and keys. I'm not able to post pictures. Anyone know a website to look up serial numbers or help with posting pics?

Picked up WHAT at a gun show? Post a picture on an image-hosting site then provide a link to it. Or, at the very least, give a good description of the lock.

You can upload your photos to a free Photobucket.com account, or you can use http://tinypic.com/

then if you have a URL address to your photo such as myphotos.com/account/lock.jpg you can post it here using the [img]tag%20before%20the%20URL%20and%20a[/img] after the URL address and it will display as an inline image.

If your lock is WW2, the padlock could possibly be made by American Lock or JuncUnc Lock, or Eagle. The serial number may be the cuts of the key, not really a serial number, but like it was already said, a photo is worth so much more than a description.
