Hello,
I would appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide in picking this lock. I've been picking locks for years and have many tools for the job. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with this particular style lock. My friend purchased a used Bass boat recently and it has two locks on it. One a transom lock with the same keyway as above and the other is the one above. When he purchased the boat, the previous owner was unable to locate the keys. In an attempt to avoid destroying the lock I elected to assist in it's removal. If I cannot open it then we will simply utilize an angle grinder. The above lock was easily removed by unbolting the 1/2 inch nut on the opposite side. This shows that this particular lock is merely for aesthetics as it is ineffective for actual security. The transom lock is the real problem at this point. I attempted to bypass the lock utilizing warded padlock keys to no avail. My other tools were were not helpful either.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this and I appreciate any help.

Nevermind. Through a little more research I determined that this is a Disc Detainer lock so I guess I'm on my own.
Thank you,
Sean.
