Postby hammer70 » Mon Jun 18, 2012 2:46 am

Hi everyone, has anyone tried using the bogota lockpicks, i have recently read the practical lock picking book by Deviant Ollam who gives them a mention. Are they any good and what make is prefered.

Yes i agree a lot of us have tried them and probably
we have differnets opinion about them
i don't use them as much as before, but they are great for a fast rake picking on some locks
hope this helps.

have to admit, i personally hate using them for single pin picking, lol
they are pretty good to rake most simple locks open, but once you get to more advance locks, they are not nearly as good as having some hooks that you are experienced with.
Aim for the impossible, because there is no challenge in trying when something is known that it can be done

I Agree on that one
you won't be able to feel SPP with this bogotas
but like i said, they are great for a fast raking.

I can open locks with a full compliment of spool pins with the rake and I can spp with the half diamond.
people who have a heavy handed method of picking do not like the bogotas because they cant get their whole fist on the handle.

Many people who do know how to use them really do like them. the people who do not like them either are using the wrong technique
and heavy pressure.
those who tell you the bogotas work well are generally speaking from experience and those who disparage them are speaking from opinion with little experience.
