making bogotas

I'm new here and I'm planning on making some bogotas. I can not find any street bristles but my dad is a mechanic so I can get all of the windshield wiper inserts I want (and I have access to all of the tools that I could ever possibly need). But my question is will the wiper inserts be strong enough to make picks out of.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think that hacksaw blades make better pick making material and windshield blades make better tension wrenches. There are some pages on this forum about making picks out of hacksaw blades.

Try to read this guide to making bogatas viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8205 very informative.

I have only made tension wrenches from wiper inserts, the ones that I have aren't wide enough to make picks, but yours may be different.
