Sounds like a disc detainer lock to me...

Yep. I don't know how well the kryptonite ones are made or if they use false gates or profile discs but in general these locks are cheaply made and relatively easy to defeat with the right tools and practice. Unfortunately we're not allowed to discuss them in the open forums, although google and youtube will turn up everything you need. I've actually written up a guide on these locks and done a 2 part video on them myself, which you should find without much trouble.
As I said, I don't know what kind of quality the kryptonite ones are so they might be more complicated than the cheaper ones. I do have a U-lock made by Kräll which is very well made and I haven't been able to pick it thus far, so if it's anything like that then best of luck lol, you'll definitely need it. Maybe someone here has had experience with the kryptonite ones, I can't say for sure but I did have a removable core padlock made by them before and it was pretty impressive. I wouldn't be surprised if their disc detainers were high quality, but you never know.
