If I look at these locks and pins as a novice my heads just begins to whirl. I'm not sure I'll even be able to pick locks like that, having major trouble with just regular spools pins (not serated, no serated key pins) in my ABUS..... This looks like a whole new level of painstakingly dificultness XD

These ones are giving me a bit of a problem. I have no idea what they are called. But since they thin out when getting close to setting, SPP means that you have to pick each pin a large number of times, especially those who needs to be lifted high.
However raking worked like a charm until I inserted the last pin. (the ones needing most lifting being number 1 and 5)

Didn't see anything for an American Series SL10, don't have pictures but will edit later with them. But it is 5 pins 3 spools, all other are normal.

I rekeyed a 6 pin Brinks cylinder for my friend. It had 6 spoolated bottom pins (as they are called) and 6 spool top pins. I was not successful at picking this lock. I suspect the way in which to pick it, you must use a lifter/hook pick and use bare minimum tension on a spring steel tension wrench, not that others wouldn't work. I say use bare minimum tension and I personally suggest using a spring tension wrench in order to avoid a binding of the security pins. A fraction too much on the tension wrench renders your entire attack useless against these locks.
Getting a feel for when these types of pins set is an acquired skill that takes a lot of time and a sensitive touch - thus less tension = greater chance for success.

Is this the same as the 141 just uncovered? And what type of pick did you use? I am having trouble with this one...

I really wish I could edit...but anyway...I just picked the Master Lock 141 and once I got it I can do it in about 10 seconds now. Second lock I have picked now and now im even more curious as to whether or not the pin setup is the same as the 140

Neat.

Is there a list of which lock manufacturer's pins will fit into which other lock manufacturer's locks? Thatis, will the spool pins of an ASUS re-leyable padlock with a KW1 keyway fit into a Kwikset or Weiser lock?

best way to check is to measure the diameter of the pins with a micrometer or a set of calipers.

To my knowledge there is no post on it but then again I know they sell universal pinning kits so maybe most can be switched as long as you follow the MACs guidelines.
