Hi,

I started week ago my crusade against Abloy classic and developed few tools to defeat them. Here is the result after first tool prototype:

Image

LIFE IS GOOD!!

I have a key for this so I knew the key combination but anyway, I´m getting there! Now I should be able to open these after I take a look at the key.
There are 9 discs in this lock. And sorry no picture of the tool in public! 8)

This padlock is retaining key when open but there are also some models where you can take the key away when the lock is open. So the picture won´t necessary prove anything with those brass-body 3020 style padlocks. But the video of me opening this would be looong

And next an attack to next level, 11-disc sylinder. Thanks Jaakko and Wizer for inspiration!

mhole wrote:Nice picking Ophidian! I have a pair of ASSA twin cylinders marked SCD still firmly impounded inthe naughty box, one day....

Today however, I picked this MILA Evolution - Euro cylinder with anti-snap protection and evil trap pins to prevent bumping. I had to press all the pics shown into service to get round the trap pins, which are spools with evilly strong springs behind them!

I'll be gutting this soon to repin it for a customer, so I'll post some pics of it stripped down.

Thank you :D And I must say nice picking by you too! Sounds like you had to dig in good to get at those evil pins :)
Most cylinders now are marked SCD and stands for Secure Core Drillprof. The one I picked here is a Assa Twin Combi with a passive sidebar.
To PICK a lock all you need is self control, patience, endurance and a pick...

I want also a job where I can pick locks all night... Nice job on the locks!

Have to purchase one of those ASSA locks myself, those security pins look difficult.

I got my first 11 disc Abloy classic cabinet file lock open today, now I just have to go through all my locks to get confidence and repetitions. Looking good!

Last night I finally picked my 40mm brass Wilko lock (Wilko being the store own-brand for Wilkinson in the UK). I'm pretty sure it has a security pin inside it. It felt good when the shackle popped open in my hand. For the first time, it opened more or less when I expected it to, rather than taking me by surprise during my attempt, as happens with so many other locks.

Got these as a bonus with an order from JeffMoss over at Keypicking. Knowing him, I'm going to guess that the lock on the right is a Sargent. Thanks, Jeff!

This:

(Removed from a No. 1 Master Lock.)
But, that's an old picture - I used a different pick and a different tension wrench.

I keep that in my bag with my picks. I feel like I'm losing my feel for SPP... Starting out, that's all I did, then I discovered rakes, lol. I think I've been over using them - I can't SPP like I used to, so I'm putting the rakes up for a while. I know that's not really a challenging lock, but I need more SPP practice, and it works great for that.

Congrats Josh, it's nice when you finally pick a lock that has been around for months...

I picked a TITAN K1 I got from Cyberfox. A nice lock.
A false set is very noticeable, since the plug turns a lot.
I overset some pins so had to completely release tension and start over again MANY times.

Cheers :)

Picked this 6 pin Roto, I think it contains some security pins because it gives a false set but have no way to check it.

And the keyway is pretty small, the measure tape is in millimeters... no business for normal size picks!
Worked 5 first pins with Femurat´s hook and the last one with the smallest hook I own.

Nice and twisty keyway on that one. Good work!

My workmate got an old bicycle from some apartment house, they had a storage room cleaning and nobody collected that bike. Then he carried it to our workshop and there was a Basta wire lock wrapped around its frame. I said to him that I would like to have that lock, he was going to cut the wire and dumb the lock anyway. Then he was going out for 15 minutes and I went at same time to the lock with my picks.

Got it open after 5 minutes with spp and when my workmate came back he was a little amazed that the lock was open and not damaged
Nice to get this kind of confidence dash!
