What did you pick today?

My first dimple lock! The lock is actually quite small so it was a bit of a challenge. Also, there appear to be pins on the underside of the keyway that have no springs pushing them up. I don't know why they were there because there are also dimple on the key for them. I didn't have to mess with them to open the lock though. Anyone know what they are there for? This is an Abus EC75, by the way.
Kind of sorry I spent the money on the dimple pick set. All I needed was this crappy half-diamond with no handle at all.

I don't get too many of these picked open, so I thought it was post worthy. Took me about a day or so of poking at it to get it to operating. Easy bitting, but I'm still proud of this one.

Nice picking Ophidian! I have a pair of ASSA twin cylinders marked SCD still firmly impounded inthe naughty box, one day....

Today however, I picked this MILA Evolution - Euro cylinder with anti-snap protection and evil trap pins to prevent bumping. I had to press all the pics shown into service to get round the trap pins, which are spools with evilly strong springs behind them!

I'll be gutting this soon to repin it for a customer, so I'll post some pics of it stripped down.

I actually picked the core a few days ago but today I completed my first "rescue"! An American 5200 that came attached to a truck I bought (indirectly) from The Texas Army National Guard a couple of years ago. I drilled out the bottom plate stud, picked the core in a vice and replaced the stud... on the road again.
