Yale C&O Brass padlock problems

Postby shortlineflyer » Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:00 pm

I got an old Yale C&O Brass padlock from my girlfriend a few months ago but I am having problems opening it. The pins all move freely as if there are no springs behind them. I have tried tensioning the lock and seeing which pins have tension on them but they all fell the same.
What should I do?

Depending on how old it is, where it's been left, and if it has steel springs or not could mean they have rotted to a point they lost their spring. Try overlifting with a comb pick. See if you can get it open that way.
What a load of old BiLocks!!!!

I'm probably 0 for 400 in looking for safes behind wall paintings
