Could have just been stupid theives who couldn't work out how to hotwire it properly. All I know is, when you work in a car repair garage for a while you learn all the secrets about getting round security devices, the club adds a bit of security, but its more of a visual deterrent, any real car theif will know its not hard to take off.

well that particular steering lock is badly designed.
most steering wheels will give alittle when forced downwards, that column can be taken off by doing just that.
also if you place a small scaffold bar over the hook you can easily bend it straight, they are so week.
dam thats twice ive gone off topic now, lol.

The last steeringwheel lock I had access/permission to play around had a real crappy waferlock in it. It popped open in less than a minute when I picked it with 2 hairpins. I'd say almost any newby should open it in less than 10 minutes, if you tell him what to do.

*off-topic*
I was thinking outside the box. Instead of trying to rip off the Club, why not squish the steering wheel and then pull it off ?

I have the club... its to put simply pathetic it has a double sided wafer lock on it with three wafers on each side. Simply put in a auto tension tool take a snowman up down on one side and up and own on the othe and open.. there nothin at all but a visual deterant. I have heard using liquid nitrogen to freeze the lock then shatter it i mean they even go into using freon... in reality if a thief new what he was doing THE CLUB would be on the cement opened and the car would be the thieves. Its more or less for physical deterence but nothin more its a hunk of crap i had one on my car but now i just pick it everytime someone in my LARGE family wants to buy one and they change there mind.

i suggest this for a device.

It is far better to remain silent and be thought of as stupid, rather than opening your mouth and removing all possible doubt.

Umm ok.. lets see here. One guns arent intimidating, becuase i have a homade stun gun( yes i do homeade electornics and computer work to) But this one i moded to shoot a direct 500,000 volt, very low amp current shot. This will not just knock you on the ground but it will knock you out end of story thats it. And trust me i cant pull it out and have the two prongs in you before your hand reachs for your gun... But in reality this is lockpicking.. why are you flashing your firearms off? I mean there fun to shoot, but just wake sure the person, like me doesnt have something that will shut you nervous system done for a few seconds and laugh as you fall with gun still in halster and as they haul you away for attempted murder. And yes i am training in criminalogy to hopefully get to the FBI and sir with all due respect you do realize these forums are monitored by the FBI carnivore program... so you should really follow you own advice and just leave guns out of things ESPECIALLY PUBLIC FORUMS ON LOCK PICKING! And let know one else be the wiser.

Wow...I didn't realize it was common practice around here to go crazy over what appears to be (at least to me) a joke. Nice one.

In reality Andy, your super-duper-knock-you-out-before-you-can-reach-for-your-gun stunner is no more relevant towards lockpicking than the other guys photo.
Sir Andy, with all due respect to your ego, you have done nothing more than boost your ego by proving you own some crappy zapper toy, and have a limited knowledge regarding who monitors this forum. Do you feel better in the knowledge you have acted like a jackarse?

Its not hard to make a stun gun i made one for a school project but quite rightly was taken off me and destroyed as they are just as illegal here as a gun is.
If the fb who? are montitering this forum youve just told them you carry a concealed weapon which wont go down well.
There is nothing to say the picture was of the poster nor did it say it was his gun it was just a picture and meant as a light hearted comment in my view.
Lets all calm down and start again, it was no biggy
