Got suggestion, what if we can all agree a day that would suit everyone to start with and maybe we can then get locations sorted after that (somewhere centralish).
Bearing in mind that probably most people work during the week and what with long hours, travelling etc a week night is probably out.
What about a saturday or sunday, that way if we're each taking a couple of hours to travel, at least we'll have time to chat, talk locks and maybe have a drink.

Ok a Saturday then
How about 6th January?
It could take a month for the test kit to get here and it will take more than a month to get somthign together, im at the open in Novemeber and have planned a 3 week tour of Europe to coincide with that so Novemeber is out for me, December is al about blooming Christmas so that out,
Maybe the 6th is too near new years so i call for 13th January unless someone else is organiseing it and then ill see if i can come on that date,

Ah mmm ok Shrub so just caught your bit about the test kit and so read the sticky about it and now realise that this now excludes me from any Lsi meetings and so withdraw Norman Wisdom style tear on cheek. I'll leave it be

Why does it exclude you?

Well I guess the fact that you are asking that question means that I've got the wrong end of the stick, but I have understood (maybe wrongly) that to be a member you need to be able to pick the locks as stated, and seeing as the only thing I can really pick successfully at the moment is the big thing on the front of my face.
I thought that would exclude me from joining untill I have mastered any kind of serious lock picking. (jb now sees a glimmer of hope in the distance ) Have I got it wrong ?

No no. Not at all. The LSI Test Kit is for those who wish to participate in the ranking system. Think of it like taking a test, and then waging your score against all other members.
Nobody has to participate, and getting a certain score is in no way a prerequisite for joining LSI. In fact, it's the other way around. Joining LSI is a prerequisite for being allowed to take the test.
Cheers,
db

Ok mate that's good, march 2012 it is then so long as that don't interfere with the olympics of course
Seriously though it would be good to get something sorted soon, meet people with the same interests and put faces to names.
As far as you organising it, I don't see why it has to fall to you, as I've said in my other posts I can sort a place around here but others may not want, or be able to travel to get here.
I'm only suggesting around here because if you look on the map, Bonez is Swindon, Illusion is Canterbury and there are others inbetween, with you still having the longest distance to travel.
Therefore this kind of area is closer to being central.
Just a thought,
Btw if I'm getting on peoples tits by going on about it just tell me to shut up and koff
