SESAMEE DECODER

Building another new kit, i was wondering if anyone had this and could tell me about how long it is, and if it would fit in the normal size leather picking case.

oh yeah, it definately fits, its actually a little small for my taste. Its almost exactly 3.5 inches in length. Small enough to get lost in my leather case. I modified my case though..made a few cuts here and there so it carries a lot more stuff in it now. My shorter tools the go into the cuts so they are a lot more accessable.
Why do today what you can put off 'til tomorrow?!

My experience is that they're pretty useless.

sesamee decoder

Postby raimundo » Fri Apr 23, 2004 10:05 pm

I concurr with dave, the decoder dosen't seem to work, I have suspected that corbin or whoever sesamee is now has put a wider null area alongside the wheels, just to elmiinate this. I opened one of these the hard way last year, I started at 1950 and tried combinations till it opened at 2002. (the birthdays method) I found that as I approached the combination, I could feel a little jolt feedback as I neared the combo. this may only have been in the last ten combos. if you can use a tinsnips, fine file and sandpaper, you can make a decoder out of .003 feeler gauge, but still its pretty useless, there is a difference between the master lock knock off of the sesamee, in that sessame has a comb of 4 fences that drop on the four flat sides, while master has only two fences and each drops on two flat sides facing each other.
