I would love to form a group of lock picking hobbyists in Singapore. But I myself is just a starter. I have never been able to open any of my locks (one Yale, one Tri-Circle). Oh well, there's still plenty of time...

I think in singapore there aren't too many lock picking hobbyists.. just in case you want to get some lock pick supplies, there is a shop selling them locally called new sparkling in potong pasir.

I just went there yesterday, the owner is very nice and does enjoy talking and giving some advice on his experiences in lockpicking.

hey there im a singaporean who just started lockpicking not long ago. I was wondering if you guys(singaporeans) practise lockpicking in public, not as in find public locks and start picking away, but to form a group as a hobby. If there isn't, I really would like to meet up with some of you to exchange pointers.

well i went down to newsparkling today and maybe we can hang out at his place first? Steven is a very experienced locksmith and he is sure to give us some tips about locks, needless to say that he is a very friendly guy. Well you can bring the lockpicks in your bag, just don't flash it around as though you're a criminal trying to get caught.

wow... cool. I just knew that there's shop in sg selling lockpicking stuff. I live in indonesia though, but my cousins live there. Gonna ask them to check it for me... lol

You don't want to get caught in SG doing anything that might be interpreted as illegal. You really don't. Check with a singaporian lawyer before buying.

Although many of the laws and punishments handed out in SG I agree with (namely the drug and gun ones), man I wouldn't want to be on the recieving end.

hmm... so, is it really okay to buy lock pick stuff there? I've been searching for a shop selling it here, but I couldn't find any. Perhaps someone could draw an actual size of the tools, so i can make it my own... (maybe).. It's just too frustating, for a newbie, trying to pick with pin. I've tried it for hours, and it just couldn't work...

The fact that no people other than me seem shocked by this kind of statement makes me sad.
I hope you never get to discover why taking guns and drugs out of the society of honest people is a bad idea. Experience is a harsh teacher.
