The Austin, TX LSI chapter is now operating, we will be having informational sessions on campus every day this week. They are open to the public and it would be great to see some LP101 members come check it out. Our meetings are very organized, entertaining, and worth attending. The following is a list of times and places our meetings will be held this week.

UTC 4.132 reserved 11/15, 16, and 17.

The meetings will start at 6:30 and continue untill 7:30. Sorry for the late announcement.

Here are some pictures from our meeting tonight. We are having another meeting on Monday night at 6:30 on campus.

We did a speed competition, it was great! Ten new members signed up. We are expecting minimum 25-30 more within the next week.

These locks are attached to each other during a tie breaker on the team speed competition. We had 3 teams competing against the clock for 15 mins. Two teams tied, so two for the best members from the tieing teams competed for a tiebreaker.

The competition was quite successful, I think everyone involved had a lot of fun with it. Actually I was surprised, almost everyone at the meeting was new to lockpicking but they were all pretty comfortable with basic padlocks in time for a competition the last half hour of the meeting. I'm glad we're beginning to focus on competitions this year :)

Who's that SEXY guy in the Texas hoodie in the fourth picture?

I would totally join the club just to be able to sit next to him.

Pictures of the November 19th Meeting!

Postby dougfarre » Tue Nov 20, 2007 12:54 pm

Alright, this was the second meeting of November! Another awesome meeting. A lot more people showed up. A real intense beginner picking session. A police officer came, but he was nice. We now have ~36 new members ~80 members from last semester = ~116 paid L.I members. (paid doesn't mean active.) But we are really proud of our numbers.

Check out the pics from today.
