Yea your best bet is to probably take the drive up to chicago.

I would be happy to get the ball rolling in the St Louis area. In the next few months I will be probably starting a retail location. This will alow me to encourage would be hobbyists to participate in workshops with practise benches, tools etc....but it is only in the planning stages right now. More info will follow but hobbyists would be welcome.

I tried to get the stl ball rolling back when i was an semi-active member but there was barely 2people interested back at that time.
I'd love to help start one or just get together to pick whenever.
I'm also in Edwardsville / Glen Carbon area atm.
Keep us informed as far as getting some meetings going!
