Hey Guys is there still interest in a Vancouver chapter? Has a chapter been officially started yet?

I'm kind of wondering the same thing, myself.

I'd be interested as well in a vancouver chapter.

ERMIS if you offer hosting again I guarantee I for one will be in attendance.

If not pm me and will see what we can do to get together. Even if the first meeting is at Tim Hortons to start with.

I am further up the road towards whistler so my hosting won't be any good.

I realize I'm a too new in this community to be eligible to attend, but I'm going to keep watching so when i get to a high enough standing, maybe I'll be able to participate.

I'm currently making my own pick set and am eager to try on a couple master padlocks I've got.

I picked my first lock yesterday. What a rush.. the first time it opened i was a little shocked as it only took me about 90 seconds. I've re picked the same lock about 30 times now ranging from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. It's a #1 Masterlock keyed 2217, I'm going to try a #1 Masterlock 2016 today at work and see if it's any different to pick.

Looks like i'll be heading to Home depot this weekend to buy myself a deadbolt to try.

Sounds like we have a bunch of folks interested but no longer have space to meet up..

Does anyone have a place to meet at? I would have suggested that we just meet up with the local 2600 folks but they meet at a mall. I'm sure picking locks in a food court will draw some interesting attention.

Perhaps we need to rent public space somewhere? I'm willing to kick in a couple of bucks if needed..

Just wondering if there is still an interest in Vancouver area?

I'm on the island, but I'd be willing to come out for a meet.

It would be entertaining to order pizza, have a couple of beers and pick open some locks.

All we need is someone in Vancouver to host and perhaps a few more people.

We can meet up in a cafe on commercial drive to host our first vancouver bc meeting. It's a public place and safe for everybody to come down, just bring cylinders, padlocks and picks and a few bucks to buy a coffee and a muffin so they won't have a problem with us taking up one of their tables. Just contact me with a private mail if you want to get this started. I have lots of locks and picks myself so lets get a meeting going. Lets see how many people can attend the first meeting and we'll see about making a Vancouver Club.

Lets say March 21'st it's a saturday at 1:30pm at the Waves Cafe on commercial drive and I believe the cross street is 2nd ave. Sign below and private mail me if you are able to attend and we'll exchange numbers.

Sweet! I just found this website! I've tried unsuccessfully to pick my Sargent lock... Only to get irritated to the depths of hell.

I guess it only makes sense that I shouldn't be able to do it since it's my first time.. (I know lol)

But I don't have any other locks (surprisingly) and it was the only thing I could try, so I was itching to do it.

Anyways, hit me up with a PM if you guys ever do this... I'm totally willing to check it out since lockpicking has been a new discover for me... And it has certainly piqued my interest.

On a side note, is it legal to carry around bump keys?
