What did you pick today?

I will start. I'm still picking my first deadbolt. I've picked it about 10 times and the last two times took about 30 seconds. Thinking about what lock to buy next and learn one step at a time. What did you pick today?

Nothing rediculous. 2 5 pin kwickset DB high low pinned 4 spool with a standard driver in the front. 5 pin schlage 4 spools 1 standard driver, 1 6 pin schlage padlock pinned beyond key cuts, 30 laminated steel master 4 pin locks give or take + 1 No.15, 2 yale KIK 3 random spools, a couple LSDA discus locks, a half dozen generic chinese laminate locks, 1 Schlage mushroom 5 pinned KIK, Hillman 40mm 5 pin padlock, 1 Best 6pin A, and 1 6pin B to the control, then 4 pins of my Medeco all mushroom with the sidebar. Plus a half dozen schlage cylinders, and a fistful of Weiser and KW knockoffs.

I missed full access to my lock box. Right... and some crummy wafer locks and a few Ford 6 pin locks. So, nothing learned, but I kept entertained.

Usually I just pick less than 10 locks a day OCD over and over.

5 standard pin M3 lock. 4 standard pin padlock. And another 5 standard pin lock. I picket 3-4 times each and that was for the day

personally, right now I'm still picking the same deadbolt untill i can do it blindfolded, along with several master padlocks.

I am trying to get a handle on the concept of getting a false set with a C rake, then SPPing the spools from there. So, I have a handful of 5 pin cylinders with a couple of spools each that I am doing a few times a day.

Haven't been any where to get a better deadbolt, so I've been checking out a master #3 and #5 I've got and seeing which pick might work best. The master #5 key is one those registered do not duplicate.

I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my Brinks brass 5-pin padlock with spools (and I think one serrated driver?). I cannot believe how much more I learn about this lock, and about picking, every time I open it. I must've opened it at least 25 times today alone, but the novelty hasn't worn off yet. Probably the best feedback of any of my current locks, too. I don't have a Master 140 yet, but I really want to pick one up now to see how it compares to the way this little guy feels.

Anyway, that's all I've been picking all day, but yesterday I opened about a dozen Master #3s, a Master #1 and a #5, an American Lock Series 40, the Brinks padlock, and a couple chinese knockoffs. Oh, and I managed to lose one of the tension wrenches to my jackknife pickset today

the day is young, but i did my ML220, my ML?51 the ML911, my three APR 6-pins, a falcon IC, a sargent, and a schlage. funsies. gotta go put the 220 back together, with more fun in it.

That's not a normal day of course. I have been seperated from my stash for a few weeks and after decompressing I had rekeyed a couple which led to me getting a bunch of my locks out, lining them up that turned into picking groups of them for time over and over. Usually it's a dozen or so and I don't even touch the cheapies.

had 4 people locked out just simple weiser. easy enough. pick and make keys to locking gas cap. pick and make keys to a filing cabinet. and finally install a rear door lock on a 96 jeep cherokee, coding new lock to his key and then putting door panel back on and what not. not to bad of a day considering the date and that there are only 4 of us working during this time

Picked my first master #3 today. Sanded the edges on picks and in about two minutes it was open.

Added three “child gun safety locks” to my growing collection of locks. The lock on the left is a Master supplied with a Beretta 96fs, and the other two are unknown. Because they were going into the collection I thought I would pick them just because. The little master surprised me as it had a security pin, about died when it false set. The other two are really cheap and almost fell open. I suppose they fulfill their role as child safety locks designed to keep uninformed and neglected children from being able to cycle a firearm. Just don’t count on them for securing your firearms.
