FF lock

Postby Darrylportelli » Fri Aug 21, 2009 6:48 pm

Hi I have an FF lock that I cant pick(actually I picked it 3 times but out of luck)
and was wondering if somebody could help. This lock is driving me insane . http://www.facchinetti.it/foto12.htm mine is the middle one from the bottom row It is fiddly to get the picks inside because of the way the keyway is fashioned....not like american locks straight, but curved a lot. Please help
Thanks

It's a copy of a Yale rim cylinder. One of the Italian Yale copycat manufacturers.

Nothing particularly difficult about them, but might have spool drivers. I suggest lighter tension would be your answer.

Hey I believe that it is a copy of the yale. What particular pick do you suggest? And I think that it has spool drivers and only one pin seems to be the problem.the key seems to show a high pin so I even cut a new long hook with my bench grinder and it came out beautiful but I still can't get it open. Please put up some suggestions cos if this lock keeps bugging me I'm just gonna open it and ruin it just for fun. Thanks

Why don't you make a well sanded bogota rake, that often will open locks that are being difficult. Three peaks, separated by grooves from a chainsaw sharpening file. and sanded to slide without friction.
