Creditcard is as far as I know 29,99 MINIMUN at other shops (excluding shipping).

At DX it's 7,66 including shipping XD Gotta love those guys

I've ordered from DX a few times and even though communicating with then feels like its next to impossible, they have really unbelievable deals and everything always gets to me in two weeks. So no real complaints against them yet.

The picks look like crap, but that tension wrench looks like it might be interesting to play with. And I also can vouch for DX, cheap stuff but free shipping and the stuff gets here in a reasonable amount of time.(2-3 weeks)

I feel like an old man shouting at the neighborhood kids, but they used to build things better back in my day! I've never had tools from either KLOM or GOSO that I've been willing to stand behind, and I've owned both sets linked in this thread. I've said it before, and will likely say it forever, but KLOM is the enemy of feedback.

Well Schuyler, Klom may not be the best quality (my rake broke pretty much instantly) but for the price you get a nice and complete package. As a student with little to no cash to spare KLOM is just great. Also, GOSO may not have made the best dimple lock set in the world but their titanium sets are pretty much unvbreakable (I own one). Lock picks are never perfect, but for the price I am paying I don't mind them breaking after a while

Hey mh,

Agreed that the TOOOL creditcard is awsome and of seriously amazing quality. However, once you break it appart there's no good way to store it in your walllet anymore. Being a member of TOOOL eindhoven and all I am ofcourse obliged to say that that the TOOOL set is most deffenatly better quality but I don't mind owning a set I can actualy take allong in creditcard formation for more than one use.

Fair points, and I actually mentioned that the price made me forgiving of their larger problems when I reviewed them in NDE. I feel obliged to take a more extreme stance these days, though, as I hear them lauded more and more.

My main problems with them:

1: Poor quality metal
2: Handles that make for really muddy feedback
3: 1/4 body tang. Picks (anything with a blade, really) should always have a fully body tang, yet another contributor to miserable feedback.
4: I'll admit the titaniums are much stronger, I've had those as well, but the ones I owned, at least, needed to be thinned before they would fit in most of the locks I wanted to use them on.

All of this said? I love Szhuang (haven't dealt with DealExtreme much) and have never been disappointed their automotive tools. In fact, I got a tidy 5 piece set at the same time as I was ordering all of my other Chinese & Korean tools and they were absolutely brilliant. Quality metal, obviously made for heavy, regular use, best wishbone tension wrench I've ever had (and like an idiot snapped while using it inappropriately to open a stuck can of paint) and upped my average for picking cars dramatically. I'd say, with that simple set, I've been able to get 85% of doors & 50% of ignitions. Just with those tools! And I have plenty I can turn to in the rare occasions that they don't do it for me.

Anyway, that is just to say, I certainly have no problem whatsoever with Chinese or Korean tools, I am just perpetually wary of KLOM & GOSO's most popular standard picksets.

I will definitely choose that style over the Mitnick style anyday, and I wouldn't mind supporting Toool at all. A wonderful organisation and great group of guys all around.

has anybody actually ordered the credit card pick set from dx and furthermore actually got it? I've read some of the threads on the product info for it on the dx site and there's quite a few people unhappy baout it as apparently their orders have gone from packaging back to processing again and when asked why dx hasnt replied to emails etc etc so don't know what's gone wrong there.

I've ordered the credit card as a gift to a friend... ordered on the 27th August, DX sent me an email this morning saying the item was just shipped. I'll let you know when (and if) it arrives.
