I am a total n00b (evidentally). This is how I have always picked. One pin. One shear line at a time. Few people pick like this all the time?

The most accurate way to pick is a single pinstack at a time. Raking is a legitimate technique, but most of us enjoy the challenge of single-pin-picking (you'll see it often abbreviated as, "SPP"). Keep up the practice.

Great guide. I've been out of picking since highschool, and just recently became interested once again. Your guide was a great read before I dove back into SPP - and is something I plan to share with my friends who are just getting started.
Thanks again!

i just got through reading your entire section on picking and I really found it worth while, especially the part on security pins and what one should be listening and feeling for. Thank you for making it very easy to read and understand.
