JUST STARTING…

Postby rsanche6 » Tue Jan 05, 2010 3:15 pm

I’m just starting a mobile locksmith business here in Chandler AZ, and looking for a place where I can download … for free if possible… locksmith software (lock codes, dispatch software, Master key systems software and Cross references software for key-blanks. Thanks for your help..

constant and regular investment in machinery, tools, software and training is a crucial element of being a locksmith. especially if you are going into business.

Chasing the freebies indicates that you may not value the trade as much as you thought. (In my opinion)

I know of some "professional" locksmiths who score free/copied/pirated locksmith programs and usually they do very poor work or is unable to keep up year to year with the newest product to service cos their programs are usually a year to 3 years out of date. Just imagine what that can do for you if you do a lot of automotive work?

Or in a more heavier example of such theft and priacy, people using bootleg copies of transponder key programmers copied off the real T-Code, TKO, Code Seeker, ect. The locksmiths who rely upon equipment like that can frequently find themselves having to take a loss cos their equipment was inadequate or have to frequently call on and depend on the guy that's doing thing in a legitimate manner. It's an embarrassing, time robbing and sometimes a costly path to take in the long run.

You have to remember that free stuff usually sucks. And running a business means that when you buy software or other tools for work you can write that off as a business expense.
