Just made myself 6 of them maybe they'll come to use sometime :).

I'm sure the newer pad locks are basically shim proof. But hey it's worth a try if it saves me time on the job!

Are you a locksmith? I'm still confused about the idea of "Heavy Duty Shims".

I wouldn't consider them heavy duty compared to the ones you would normally buy from a locksmith catalog as I have a few of those on hand as well. They could possibly work as a back-up though so its worth a try!

I didn't think anyone ever bought shims. It's a waste of money.

This is a great guide. However I think they could have used fewer steps on some things.

GREAT VIDEO :!:

Yeah but the steps are there because I GUARANTEE somebody would be like "What Do I Do Now?"

The concept is brillant but when i used them the aluminum was to weak to move the ball bearing anyone else used this successfully, im guessing this will only work for super crappy locks.

most new locks nowanddays, even the cheaper master combo ones.. can't be shimmed anymore.

it's become too easy, well known.. and widespread... so.. yea.
it'd have to be uber cheap and crappy locks.
