What about cases?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

This style is particularly nice in locksport competitions when you open it up in front of your competitor :)

Seems a number of people here like the roll-up type tool pouches, otherwise known as tool wraps.

Here is a link for a supplier of these:

Enjoy.

Here's a look at my case. Recently improved with a few pieces of gorilla tape. I like it better than with the duct tape because the color matches and it feels better. The gorilla tape has a thickness that duct tape just doesn't match.

And Gorilla tape has a much nicer texture and color, even compared to the 'brown' Duck tape!

Nice fix with the gorilla tape.

I like mh's case. Over time I've come up with a custom case that suits my picks very well. Not everything in here is specifically picking related. I work as a locksmith, and there are some tools that I use often enough to put in here.

 no I think it's part of the game; around here some folks wear their golden SSDeV pins (which means you finished 1st in one of the previous years) exactly for that purpose...

Hey Schuyler,

How many of those tool rolls do you have?

My mental picture of yoour picks is that you'd need a tackle box to carry'em all, if they;re anything like your lock collection.

3 :P

The red is my primary, then I have a denim one with more commercial tools and a purple one with the homebrews that I rarely use or have fallen apart. A lot of pick shafts w/no handles, that sort of thing. I also keep tons of public-use picks for classes & workshops, but as far as tools that actually get use from me, I keep 3 rolls pretty well full.

this is my case I made about 2 years ago...

Made out of duct tape and the chain from a flapper on a toilet. Not the biggest or the best, but it works fine for my small set.

I use a Pelican case that is just large enough to hold my Peterson tri fold, pick gun, and a Rytan plug spinner.

I am thinking of upgrading- there are so many picks and bypass tools I want to add to my collection. Im thinking of custom making one next.
