I just signed up and I'm wondering how much extra these will cost.

They are supposed to be a bonus - no charge, from what I understand.

I have a couple more keys to make and send in the final lesson pack, and then I find out for sure.

I got my first set of lessons and shows that there are three additional courses included at no extra cost.

I just finished lesson 30 and I'm really wanting to get into the advanced courses, but I have the pay-as-you-go plan or whatever and haven't paid off the total of my bill (payments are NOT delinquent BTW)...I was wondering whether they will send the adv. courses in the same manner as with the basic course (i.e. Pay the monthly bill; recieve 5 lessons) or do they begin sending the adv. course after the entire bill is paid?

I am thankful to this blog since it was Eyes_Only that led me toward F&B instead of the Assured Locksmith Training Course.

I am at the part or the course where i am trying to do key impression, and it is the toughest part I have done so far, and is taking a lot longer than all the rest of the courses. But that being said it is teach me how to recognize the imprints.

Over all i have been impressed with this course and have learned a lot of round about info. In a field that changes daily I really doubt there is any course other than hands on that is going to teach you all of it. Also a persons environment has a lot to do with what is practical for you to know. I live in Alaska and will get more my business in lockouts and key making than with anything else, like security systems, safe deposit locks, safes, etc.

So for what I am looking for this course has taught me what i need to know to start up my business and by giving me a student card and soon a diploma, it allows me to buy the tools that I will need right now. While not all locksmiths may recognize locksmith courses as qualifying a person, I bet it would show most locksmiths employers that a person had enough interest to put themselves through a course to learn the basics. As an employer I would put a plus sign next to an applicants name for have doing so.

Unlike most people here I am 10 years away from retiring and looking at this to help supplement my income. But if I have learned in life, education is ongoing and Foley Belsaw is just the first stepping stone in doing something with yourself that you are interested in.

I enrolled back in 2006 and completely forgot about it till a few months ago when going through old paperwork and submitted skilpak 2-3. It seems that everyone in this thread has had 30 lessons + the advanced course included in their tuition (~$900) I just want to verify that it has always been this way since when I spoke with a director of training he only mentioned 15 lessons. By the way great outline/review of the course so far it has been spot on.
