When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Squirrel_Cop that the coolest thing i have seen in a while i'm still using my southord case ,but for my home made picks i use a berocca container or a skittles container , cylinder container 140mmx20mm they fit in there real nice ,and i can keep them in plain sight

what is berroca? some sort of performance skittle? Right now my picks are hanging out in a 10-round paintball tube like this one: http://www.paintball-online.com/sites/p ... 10_big.jpgbut I don't have a ton of picks like some of you. I have about 10. --Cpp

I made a series of picks a few years ago... and looked about for a good case. This is what I used -- available from widgetsupply.

Here's the image... sorry about the previous bollox in the upload. A good size tri-fold softcase which has worked out well.

I use a small tackle box I picked up from Walmart. It's got plastic drawers that slide out and I have a couple of drawers I use to store locks , one for picks, and one for misc. springs, parts, and other junk. Works great and I can carry many more entry tools than just a set of picks.

Those are some excellent case ideas. I had used a PVC pipe with pipe cap ends for some of mine due to the strength of the enclosed unit: no chance of bending, portability, falling out or impact injury, etc. I suppose the case is very dependent of what type, how many, and what picks or related tools you are using. If the inventory includes lights scopes, expensive utilitarian equipment, it may be a good consideration to look at a tackle box for room and overall strength. The choice would most likely rest on the tools and your needs.
