hi

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I don't buy picks, I make them. If I need a special one, perhaps of a tinier size, I can whip one out in less than an hour.
buying the takes longer even if you know of a store that sells them and by mail its gonna be a week or more, so the ability to make them would work anywhere you can get a sweeper bristle or bicycle spoke. and your self reliant.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!

Welcome to the forum!

A good place for you to start would be in the FAQs and General Information section on this site.
Scroll down and look under “FAQ: So where do I buy lockpicks and what do I need to buy?”

If you do decide you would like to buy some picks, you can try www.lockpickshop.com, which is a sponsor of this site or www.lockpicks.com.

I myself deal with lockpicks.com and I'm very pleased with the results and customer service they have given me over the years.

There is no need for you to go overboard just starting out. A basic Southord set will suffice. Something in the $20.00 to $30.00 USD range, anywhere from 5 to 9 pieces.
I prefer the stainless steel picks with reenforced handles, but everyone is different.

When you get stuck, take the time to do a search on the issue you're having, as there are many helpful articles and people here to help you.

Enjoy your new hobby!
