Video: Is this a security pin?

Postby madsern » Fri Mar 25, 2011 10:21 pm

Well so im trying to get this lock open (it has "hth" engraved on it, nothing else). It a five pin.
When i pick one of the pins (i belive its pin number three from front), the sylinder turns slightly and prevents me from picking the other ones.
Is this a security pin?
Please watch video and share your knowledge! And yeah, i am a newbie with only pad lock exp.

Hard to tell without knowing the brand, but assuming normal tolerances I'd say it's rotating too much for just one normal pin stack at shear. So yes, this is probably a security pin.

Yeah they do, that url just doesn't work with BBcode because it isn't the direct image link. ;)

Those pins are pretty cool, I think people call them trampoline pins. I thought the lock was an ASSA at first but seeing those pins makes me think VingCard... either way, good job picking it. Now onto the next one!
