That's some pretty decent hombrew. I like the plug spinner you made, and the 2 in 1's. Which gauges are they in?

guages where keys are concerned mean the outer diameter of the key for a pin key without a hole down the center and usually the center hole diameter for a pipe key with the hole down the center , with the pipe key i usually try to get both the inner and outer guages as tight as possible in the keyhole. The guages are old wireguages a 2 guage is about 7 mm a 3 is about 6 and so on the smaller the number the larger the diameter.

Oh ok thanx for that. . .im nt sure about the gauges but the outer pipes outer diameter is 4.75mm. Thats the closest i could find. And it has an inner diameter of 3.2. The inside rod is a welding rod that i scraped the flux off of and its diameter is 3mm so its a snug fit. . .

welding rod is fine if you dont need to apply to much torque

Ya ive noticed they tend to twist and warp abit if i apply a healthy amount of torque. . .what do you recomend to use that would be stiffer than a welding rod?

Piano wire is the only way to go forget stainless it is to springy make the center shaft as big as you can, the outer will be strong enough if steel or stainless with a thin wall i wouldnt bother with brass unless you are just proving a design before forking out big money for stainless. Do piano wire to steel with brazing and stainless steel to any other with silver solder with a high silver content thats what works best for me.

Yes it is a space issue, thousands of pictures on the boards takes up space pretty quick.
