Can anybody tell me is Locksmith video school a good choice?

I am thinking about taking a locksmith course and from what i have gathered online Locksmith video school seems to be my choice so far i have also found another course step by step on video too called locksmith career training.com. can you guys give me any feedback you may have on either program or is there another program i should consider looking into? thanks guys!

I have heard of them and seen 1 or 2 of their vids. They do explain the very basics but you cannot get the feel for the trade from a video or a book, you need to learn in the field by trial and error. Or apprentice to a willing mentor.

Well video school can be a convenient way of managing your time when you are working.but for me i rather choose class discussion, remember this course does not only focus on theory,but what the most important is the actual handling of the things, there is still different between video and the actual comprehension.if i will you i will send to school still a lots of advantages you will gain.

Have you thought about Foley Bellsaw? Less expensive plus you get a pretty good key cutter (especially if you get it with 2 digital calipers). Not trying to suggest one over the other, just another one to think about.

I have the Foley Bellsaw books to but find the videos to be 100% better to learn from.
The videos show you it live and many times it shows out on location on the job. To me this is much better then the Bellsaw books i now never even open and look at.

Also you can find a ton of you tube videos showing you how to do many things. I have learned a lot from them to all for free.

I purchased locksmithvideoschool.com advanced training program years ago. I was able to start my business and am doing very well. I recently found LocksmithDVD.com videos on eBay and so I purchased them, thinking what the heck moors better right. I can tell you this had I bought those DVDs and tried to start my business I would never have succeeded. Poor quality, and very little informative technical information. The old man talks really slow that's what makes the videos so long and boring.
