You have to earn the right to get into those sub forums, it is not something every new user gets to see right away. Too much of the data in those sub forums protects systems that guard money and valuables, so we cant have it be a free public resource for everyone, because a percentage of those people may be up to no good. Please see the rules for getting into the Advanced forums: http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2474Thanks, Squelchtone

Hi Everyone,
My name is Eric Michaud. I've been on a hiatus from LP101 and a lot of forums for quite some time. It's actually been six plus years of time as a matter of fact. Quite a while in internet years. ;)
So after some much thought I came to the realization that it would be appropriate after my hiatus to sign back into LP101 account to say hi and bring what knowledge I've accrued over the years since then in private capacities and contribute it back to the forums and locksport community that helped me get a leg up in the first place.
It'll be a slow start finding my legs here again as I soak up all the posts made since I've been gone to find a place for me to start contributing, but I really look forward to it and all the interesting discussions we're going to have.
In closing I can't wait to bump into old friends on the forums and all the new faces that have shown up since then. :)
Cheers,
-Eric.

Hello all,
I'm Zach, I'm obviously new to this site as I'm posting here... I got into lock picking when my manager at work locked their key I their office. Nothing could be done until the door was opened and the other key was on its way, being escorted by the DM, but had a 45 minute ETA. Having never picked a lock before I got a flash light and looked in and tried to figure out how the pins worked while comparing the inside to what most keys looked like. Then I grabbed a small flat head screwdriver (tension wrench) and a few of those two inch paper-clips and bent them straight. Being the hero for once in my life got the lock open before the other key arrived. My boss thanked me, and then gave me a look as to say "Now we all know who to look at if something get stolen from in here. Mr.locks-dont-stop-me...."
Now I'm working on my house locks with the 14 piece southord set.
Cheers!

Hello there. I'm Danielle, I'm new to the forums, I was curious about locks most of my life, I picked my first lock when I was 8 and was kind of easy back then but I get to the point where some locks shouldn't be unlocked. so anyway I'm happy to be here and learn new things.
