Hi all- Just joined today... I'm a building supervisor for a apt. housing complex, new to the job I was kind of thrown in blind and figuring certain things out. My most challenging right now- figuring out to work, repair, repin Schlage Primus lock cylinders :) As anyone knows who has worked with these type of locks, they are fairly complicated and "considered" fairly high security. VERY complicated for a newbie :( I have over 500 of these locks throughout the building and I'm starting from scratch !! Wish me luck

Greetings Y'all!
I've been interested in lock picking for several years and have done a small amount of research on how more common locks function. Now, I'm looking to get a bit more serious about it and get my chops up to a semi respectable level.

Hey all, I'm new to the hobby. Been interested in computer security for a long time, and as a lot of you probably know from conferences like DEFCON, the two hobbies seem to meet up a lot. I've been lurking around the forum reading posts for about a week, thought I'd make an account and get around to saying hi.

Hello all! Just joined the forums today. Found the Locksport International Guide to Lock Picking PDF and was very intrigued. Been interested in lock picking for a while now, I'm glad to have found a community that can help me learn!
No experience yet, aside from opening a Master lock I had lost the combination to with the soda can shim trick.
Take it easy,
Ray

Hi everyone. I'm new here and new to the hobby. I would like to learn as much as possible about locksmithing with the hopes that I can start a side business working for myself. Auto lockout and residential lockout are my main interests. I figure if I can put the word out to all of my family and friends that I can get some business. If I make enough to just cover the cost of my tools I will be happy. But first I need to learn to be able to have the knowledge to use the tools without damage to anyone's property and without looking like a fool lol! So I will do my best to be a sponge and soak up any knowledge you guys can send my way. Thanks for having me here!

Ahoy everyone, Ben here from Brisbane Australia. Surfing around youtube as you do I ran into a video by Schuyler, at a Defcon conference, I was amazed what could be done, so I watched more and more. I jumped into the shed and saw that I had a few padlocks lying around, a bobby pin and a pen clip wasn't going to do it, so today I jumped back into the shed and took to a hacksaw blade. Went to Bunnings to get a deadlock set and another padlock (mine appear to have security pins in them) and I'm keen as.
One day after watching those tutorial videos and the same day that I made my own pick, I've opened my first lock, it's amazing...even at 34, I'm stoked that I can do this. Deadlock first followed by the padlock, both appear to be simple pins with no security that I can "feel" Over the next few days, I'll open one of the deadlocks and re pin that to start learning more, and I have a cheap cheap set of picks on the way
Keen to learn
Ben
