the wheel of fortune (lock edition)

Postby clearmoon247 » Sun May 20, 2012 6:20 am

So I had an idea that seems like it would be a fun an interesting project and I wanted some thoughts and opinions. The idea is simple, create a lock display, where you can mount a lock and practice picking it, but instead of it being just a simple 2x4 with a deadbolt, it could be a series of 6-10 locks or more mounted in a circle on a circular block of wood, where the either top or bottom lock will be the proper orientation. Then add pegs, a flipper, and mount it so it can spin. Then for events at a local locksport group, you can play the wheel. You can even include locks ranging in difficulty from kwickset to medeco. If you can pick the lock in a set amount of time, you win the points, and person with the highest score wins. Other rules can be added later, but that's the what I have right now, so, what does everyone think of this idea?

Nice! And I don't even have a local locksport group.
Even still its a great practice idea. I'll have to see if I can get a design working...
