orderd some more stock today from aldridges mainly euros,sad to see that they mainley only make them in nickel,onley sizes they do in brass is 30/10/30, 35/10/35,shame as they are very cheap!

You must be looking at the wrong page of the catalogue. They have a comprehensive range of Euros/Ovals etc. in both brass and nickel.

The catalogue, if I remember correctly, is split into equal length Euros, off set sizes, and then singles and turn versions.

If you have a problem identifying them, let me know the sizes you're after and I'll drop you the order codes.

i didnt order them from the cataloge i just phoned them up and orderd over the phone,when i told her i wanted them all in brass apart from the singles and thumbturns she said sorry they only come in nickel(apart from the above sizes) i ordered some 35/10/40's 35/10/55's 40/10/40

As Rockford says, they basically have a full range of Euro cylinders in brass and nickel.

Asec stuff is cheap, but it's not tacky. I took a rim cylinder apart the other day and it had three spool pins, as well as having an awkward keyway for picking. Not bad for £1.50!

Ask them to send you an Asec buyers guide.

thanx guys here's the story,
i phoned them up wednesday put order in and she says the ones you have orderd dont come in brass only nickle,i said are you sure she says yes,anyway friday comes still no delivery,so phones back blah blah blah we havent had an order from you!!!!! oh yes you have,so i re orderd and said that i would call down and pick them up,got there and spoke to someone else at the sales counter and said to him do they do them in brass and he said no!!!! so thats 2 people that work for them that think they dont do brass(idiots).i will be making another call monday to get them to swap them now i know they do come in brass

Most of the staff at aldridge are total muppets. Without using the full order code most of them would need a road map to find the toilets.

So as previously suggested get a copy of the buyers guide, and wherever possible order by fax. I used to try ordering by email but with only limited success - it may have improved though.

The prices are great, but agree with the customer service - terrible. I've had misplaced orders, missing items, and very long delivery times. If you live near to one of the stores - drop in and buy your stock in person.

Buy it now for £12.99 including p&p...maybe I'll continue buying them from Aldridge for a good tenner less...
