I have both the KLOM and the HPC. The KLOM works better for me. But you need to adjust it for the lock.

Re: Help with tubular lock

... only turn slightly to keep pins at their depth. Determine cut from this. Will need to check if a Tubular key fits, if so, you will need a Blank. KLOM Makes a Tubular key cutter for under $100. You will have to locate cuts on the blank, then cut to the depths you determined. Not 8 divisions(7 ...

Re: Ace key cutter? (Herty Gerty substitute?)

I have one of the KLOM cutters, for the $50 I spent on it I am happy with it. I have only cut about 20 keys in 3 years but once its setup it is good to go. took me 2 blanks to work out a method for cutting keys. Seemed liked pin position ...

Re: Ace key cutter? (Herty Gerty substitute?)

I have one of the Klom ones as well, I'm pretty happy with it. The depth calibration on mine was way off when I got it, but it's pretty easy to adjust. I would suggest only using brass blanks with it though if you want it to last for ...

Re: Ace key cutter? (Herty Gerty substitute?)

Couldn't get the Herty Gurty, did get this Klom, works good enough. Don't know if Mine or all, numbering seem off, Maybe write 1-7 on the Key, so you are cutting in the right spot. Depth was good. You can pick the lock with an Impression tool. ...
