I believe the type of lock you are referring is a warded lock. You might try searching the forums and the internets for tutorials on picking warded locks.

capt.dunc has a great post on this topic.

Although, I am now second guessing myself about it being a warded lock. Can I get a second opinion on this?

thanks again Pyrhhus..
here are all the locks pictures. except the 1st and 5th all other are a different type, and i dont think they have pin tumbler, cylinder type etc.
hope this makes u judge their type.

(on more thing that these types of locks are very much common in india)

This link to information on the site seems to suggest that they do lots of lever locks, I would be surprised if it was warded so I'm going to stick my next out and say that will be a lever lock you've got there.

Errr, I doubt you are sticking your neck out very far by disagreeing with me. Odds are I am wrong on this one. Probably a lever lock
