Strange Padlock

Postby Haddo » Mon Jan 23, 2012 10:47 am

I have a lot of padlocks around the house. Nice ones and a bunch of no name ones.
My wife came across this one and gave it to me. The weird thing is that it doesn't feel like it has any pins.
Also the plug turns about 90 degrees. When I'm attempting to pick it sometimes farther.
I'm sure the key is around the house somewhere. I'm going to look for it to get an idea of whats going on in there, but maybe someone here can help me out.
I'm able to single pick my practice Kwick Set deadbolt and most of my padlocks except this one and a brass one from Ace that is kicking my but. The brass Brinks of the same style was easy. Anyway here is a pic of it. I can picture in my head what I think the key looks like. One of those double sided keys with almost square notches on each side.
I was able to get it open with a two sided jiggler key, but not by SPP or raking.

Thanks in advance.

@Haddo:

That lock is a cheap single sided non-reversible key warded lock...

No "pins" to pick like a pin tumbler lock...

Thanks for the info.
That explains why I didn't feel any pins.
