Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

Since your new I doubt you really know but most people on this forum are not going to give you a bunch of info on how to open a money lock box.

thats fair, and i understand.
however, my interest is purely curiosity. i'm not looking for some magical way to pick this lock in 30 seconds with no experience.
perhaps a little backgroud is in order. i've taken quite the curiosity to locks as of late, and have been toying around with different types of locks. a friend of mine found the coin tray ( i'm assuming thats what it is) with the ESD lock on the front at a flea market for 5$ and bought it for me, and i was really just looking for any kind of info about it, without having to break it it to see what is happeneing inside.
my intitial impression is that it's way more complicated than anything else i've played with, and is probably way over my head. but i'm still very curious as to what is going on inside.
so, in short, i respect not wanting to give info that could be used to break into a coin box. but perhaps a little info about the type of lock would be ok?

I do know they come with an option for quite a few different lock cylinders installed the xd appears to be a standard pin tumbler lock. Which is actually one of their lower security locks or it appears to be.
Go check out their website for a picture of their lock and key

that would probably be a good idea at least that way you don't break the lock

From the web page, ESD seems to have a bunch of rebadged (not even, in some cases) standard high security locks like ACE, Abloy, Medeco, etc. The XD looks like DUO.
