EVVA Dual - Design and Operation

Postby scholls » 13 Sep 2010 19:22

Hey everybody,
some time ago I got my hands on an EVVA Dual lock. Because you can't find much information on this lock, as most people are (understandably) more interested in systems like the 3KS or MCS, I had to take it apart and take some pictures. This eventually evolved into this short article:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZP0HUIQQ

Unfortunately I left out the parts about picking, as I'm not sure whether that's considered advanced...you're gonna have to check out the German KOKSA-forum for that...

Here's a small preview:

Nevertheless, be sure to check out the pdf, to get all of the links and interactive features!
For example these 2 clips:

Let me know what you think!

peace,

amazing post: well done pictures and tutorial, the videos are an interesting look into the workings...can't say i've seen this lock before. i can image the hassle it must be to attempt picking this lock. thanks for the info, i'll do some more research. is this categorized as advanced to discuss the picking?

It's easier to pick than e.g. a DOM ix10, and that one has been discussed in the open parts of LP101, so it's probably ok to discuss picking of the EVVA Dual as well - but that's just my opinion.

Cheers

Thanks for your replies!
Especially to you mh! I trust your judgment and will try to translate the part about picking once I have some time...
Until then, everybody who is interested will have to look for the German version on KOKSA ...

Hello,
I have such a lock, too. It's a very nice heavy-duty-lock, because you can kick on a key while it's inserted in the lock and it doesn't do anything...
But so far as I know the patents are not valid any more.

I wanted to expand my knowledge about high security locks. Please excuse my very bad English, I'm German and so I can't write and talk English as good you can do it. Yours sincerely,Lateiner

I can't change my own replies :?

I just want to say, that there wont't be an update like the EVVA 3KS PLUS. The one and only update is the EVVA ICS, a new system with heavy-duty keys, a few pins and the wave-system of the DUAL.

Hope that my information helps,

Lateiner
